The farm, located in Mossa in the hilly area of the Collio region at the border of the Isonzo zone, has been the property of the Codelli Barons for over 250 years, and has Total surface area of 50 hectares, the majority of which flanks the railway and the Udine - Gorizia road. It is an area wichh has always had a marked wine- making vocation. Its exposure and marly - sandstone nature of its lands, of Eocene origin, confers special scents and aromas to the wines. The farm, managed by Baroness Luisa with her housband, the engineer Carlantonio Turco and their doughter Carlotta, in addition to combining tradition and technologyn in their grape - growing and wine - making, offer agrotourist hospitality and a trattoria with typical local dishes. The head office of the farm, framed by the green hills and trees of the park, with its lordly villa, a chapel dedicated to the Assumption and the "Folatoio" ( for marriages, parades of fashion, parties ),a set of buildings from the first half of the 1600's, a witness to the ancient origins of the farm and the fragments of history and culture of this territory, has also for some years been used to host popular cultural events. |
